Chapter 48

• My excitement is through the roof! I haven't been this eager for something in a long time, and I'm all smiles as harvey and I set off for my mom's place. The drive is long, but I spend most of it snoozing, as expected. We arrive before the sun has even set.
• Jason is coming with us to the conference, and harvey has brought a few warriors as guards. They'll be heading to the Blood Moon Pack and staying the night there. It's customary for the pack hosting the conference to host all the attendees, but harvey has just told them he'll be arriving the day of the meeting, which is tomorrow.
• As the car pulls up to the house, my mom is already outside to greet us, as if she knew I was coming. I run up to her and give her a big hug, burying my head in her apple-scented hair. All my worries just vanish in her embrace.
