Chapter 47

• "What's up?" Harvey’s voice startles me and I sit up on the couch I was lying on. He's hovering, which I don't like. Ever since I heard Michael's story, I've been really stressed out. I'm worried about my mom, thinking about what happened to those young girls, and wondering what Ariel is going through right now. To distract myself, I've been watching TV for the past two days. Work isn't enough to take my mind off things either, since there hasn't been much going on at the hospital. Harvey’s been busy trying to figure out how to handle the situation, so he doesn't have much time for anything else.
• "I'm just having a really bad day," I mumble, resisting the urge to roll my eyes and look back at the TV.
• "You didn't have a good day yesterday either," he says, sitting down next to me. I can feel the warmth of his body.
