Chapter 78 Torture
- Dain was sitting tied to a chair in a dimly lit room. Elora couldn’t even stand to look at him. She took a deep breath, grabbed a chair, placed it in front of Dain, and took a seat. He was staring at her with a soft look in his eyes, fidgeting and looking happy to see Elora, as if he thought he could talk his way out of his situation.
- “It’s weird that out of everything that has happened to me lately, what you did is the greatest disappointment. How could you, Dain?” Elora asked him as soon as she took a seat.
- “Elora, the Emmersons ran me out of town all those years ago. That’s why I left you. I never would have under different circumstances; you know that. We had a strong bond. We were connected, Elora, and for a while, I felt disappointed that you didn’t guess something was wrong.”
