Chapter 66 Hazel The Rebel

  • Hazel couldn’t shake the feeling that she needed to see Logan. It was a strange pull she couldn’t quite explain, an overwhelming urge that washed over her like a wave she couldn’t fight. She didn’t know where this need had come from, but she’d come to realize that Logan was the only person who seemed to soothe the chaos inside her when life threw its hardest punches. He had this inexplicable ability to make her feel seen, heard, and—most importantly—calm.
  • Whenever she thought about him, that familiar flutter of butterflies danced in her stomach. It was ridiculous. She wasn’t a teenager anymore, yet every time his image flickered in her mind, it felt like she was. Tony had noticed too, teasing her about the way her cheeks flushed whenever Logan’s name was brought up. And as much as she wanted to deny it, Tony was right. The feelings were real, and they left her conflicted, uncertain, and, for the first time in a long while, full of hope.
  • Logan made her smile in a way she hadn’t smiled in years. A smile she couldn’t even conjure when she thought about Zade. That realization hit her like a ton of bricks, shaking her to her core.
