Chapter 74 Kidnapped

• Elora was slipping in and out of consciousness since she had been taken but this time, she felt she was finally stirring awake. However, as she felt the soft scented sheets beneath her, she thought she must have been in a dream. She winced in pain as she felt an unbearable headache force her to lie still in bed. She forced her eyes open and was confused, filled with shock as she realized she was in an elegant bedroom.
• Memories flooded to her mind. She recalled all that had happened and came to the realization that none of it was a dream. Zade had been shot three times, their chauffeur had been killed and Elora had been taken by a strange man. Tears escaped her eyes as she thought back to the sight of Zade on the ground. She would not accept that he was dead, not until she saw his body herself.
• Zade couldn’t die. Not after all they had been through, and besides, Zade was strong, he was determined and he promised Elora, he promised he would never leave her so he couldn’t be dead. There was still life in him when she last saw him and she had sent an emergency message to Logan so she clung to the hope that Logan had been able to save him.
