Chapter 52 She Will Be Mine

• DAIN’S POV
• Dain was so close to telling her everything. He was so close to confiding in her. He wanted to tell her what had happened, that he was threatened by Peter Emmerson to leave and never come back, and now he had been hired by Peter Emmerson once more to spy on her. He knew that the problems Elora had were linked to her evil family but he didn't know the details and he didn’t know how deep it ran.
• All he knew was that the entire family was out to get her and he had no idea why. As soon as he walked out of the bathroom, he hated himself for what he did. He took out his phone and sent a quick text to Peter Emmerson, informing him that Elora had come home in the middle of the night with a suspicious wound on her shoulder. He also informed Peter that Elora was talking to a strange man in the park while they were getting ice cream. Elora thought he didn’t notice, but Dain was basically a spy for the Emmersons now and for someone who was trying so hard to win back her friendship he felt like a hypocrite and a bad friend all over again.
