Chapter 61 Pain, Grief
- Zade couldn’t believe his eyes. This wasn’t real—this couldn’t be real. He was dreaming. He had to be. Yet, no amount of pinching himself or screaming in his head brought him back to the safety of his bed. This was reality, no matter how much his mind begged it not to be. His hands trembled as he reached forward, only to be held back by his guards. They gripped him tightly, their hands clawing at his clothes, their arms locking around him like chains.
- “LET ME GO!” Zade roared, his voice cracking, raw, desperate. He struggled like a feral beast, swinging wildly at anyone who dared come close, but the guards wouldn’t relent. They tightened their grip as he thrashed and screamed, dragging him back from the inferno that consumed the wreckage of the car.
- His car. Her car.
