• “Enough!” The Alpha roared, silencing his son and the honorable before their bickering erupted into something else. Prince Juan stared daggers at Gifford, who stared back as if unfazed. Of course, he feared the Prince; he had seen him beat down a fellow honorable. The fact that Prince Juan just wasn't going to act out of line in the presence of his father gave him guts. Juan let out a sniff and walked back to his throne with his jaws clenched. Ashina looked him in the eyes, and it was obvious that he was keeping his eyes off her on purpose. The Princess pressed her lips into a hard line. They might not have been on the best of terms, but she was glad Juan stood up to Honorable Gifford's insensitive comments. She made a mental note to thank him for that whenever whatever situation they were in blew over. Warlord Vaslof cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention to himself.
• “Now, now this is not the best time for arguments to break out from within us. We have a lot on our plate now; we should work together more than ever!” The Warlord explained with hand movements and a sincere face, his eyes drifting from Juan to Gifford as he spoke.
