Chapter 35 Watch Your Back

• "Decker! Decker! Decker!!" Ashina cried as she gently tapped his cheeks, trying to get him to open his eyes. He slowly shook his head, and Ashina let out a sigh as relief flooded her. He was still alive. She bit the inside of her cheek so as not to let any tears fall. She gently stroked his face, noticing the bruises he had incurred. Decker opened his eyes, squinting due to the sunlight. Earlier, he had been knocked out. Once he could see clearly and recognized Ashina, he let out a gasp. His eyes got glassy as tears of joy came to them. He had just woken up with his head in the hands of the one he loved. How beautiful it felt to him. He wished the moment could last forever.
• A grin spread across his face, and Ashina reciprocated it. She felt he was thinking the same thing she was thinking. As she was carried away, Decker raised his hand to stroke her cheek. Noticing it, Ashina gently pushed his hand down. He wiped his smile off and let out a gasp, wondering why she had done that. She gave him a look that he couldn't interpret, and then at that point, he decided to observe his surroundings.
• His jaw dropped at the sight of the warriors all around them, watching. His memories, which he had lost for a moment, came back to him. He remembered that the Scytan Warlord beat him black and blue and then he passed out. Ashina must have seen it happen and then rushed to his aid. He now understood that the weird look she gave him was her trying to let him know that they were in public. He knew that them displaying affection was going to spark a whole lot. Ashina gently took his head off her lap and rose. Decker himself sat up.
