Chapter 22 Seeing Juan Again

Ashina exited the meeting room with the Royal Council. She stood still, and as the doors were shut behind her, the wind from them sent her hair into the air. She let out a deep and exaggerated sigh of relief. She had scaled through that. She had managed to survive that without getting herself into any trouble now. She giggled to herself as memories of the meeting went through her head. The way she commanded authority and made one of the council members get sacked, she could not believe it. It felt surreal.
Now I just have to survive Leslie's trying to squeeze out every detail from me. Ashina thought to herself.
She was excited about letting Leslie know how it went, but she knew Leslie was going to be too pushy.
