• Chapter 14 – The Bear
• "If anyone comes in, I will have your head," Prince Juan said to the guard he placed in front of his room. The hefty guard took a bow, and Prince Juan went into his room. He slammed his door shut and let out a sigh. It had been a really long day.
• From meetings with nobles to one with the Arthenish Princess, they were all draining. All he wanted to do now was lie on his bed and drift into a deep sleep, but with his wine-soaked body and the sweat from morphing into a full werewolf, he could not go to bed immediately. He hissed at the memory of Princess Ashina. She was to be thanked for the mishap. He pulled a string on his waist and his trousers fell. He tossed his wet cloak into a ground corner. Now fully unclad, he moved to the other section of his room. The bathroom This room was just as big as his bedroom, and in the center of it was a large pool. This was supposed to be his bath. His maids were not here to toss roses into the pool for him, but he didn't think that was necessary. All he wanted was to have a rinse and head to bed.
