• Ashina let out a gasp as her eyes fell on him, and then it hit her. She had not seen Decker in days now, and she had been through a lot of situations where she wished he was close. She always missed him, but after just seeing him again, she realized she missed him more than she thought she did. Every cell of her body rejoiced in excitement, and she tried her best to restrain herself from running to him and jumping into his arms like a child after their father had returned from war. They were out in public, so she knew she had to behave. Ashina was oblivious to the fact that she grinned from ear to ear and Decker mirrored her smile. His brown eyes were locked in her bright hazel eyes just like hers were locked in his. Seeing each other brought more life and vibrance to them, and while they knew there was a lot they needed to talk about, and probably argue about, the joy of finally seeing each other again pushed all that to the back of their minds, to be dealt with later. Ashina began to inhale and exhale deeply.
• Her heart leaped with excitement with every step Decker took to close the gap between them. Noticing this, Queen Leah rolled her eyes. The two warriors now stood before the women. Still smiling sheepishly, Ashina began to doubt her power to restrain herself. Her knees and arms began to twitch. She was restless. It was frustrating because Decker was just right there, an arm's length away from her, and she couldn't do as much as touch him. Decker was doing much better than she was. He stood coolly, just staring back at Ashina with his smile, entertained by her little drama. Queen Leah cleared her throat.
