• If I told you I wasn't nervous, I would lie. Having gotten up early, I went for a quick workout to calm my nerves before heading to the office to finish the paperwork for Jonathan and Katia's new home. Seeing what the future held for them excited me. Despite my best efforts, I struggled with the idea that Maliyla wasn't ready to have pups. Even though she didn't explicitly say she didn't, I interpreted her statement that way. My desire for a pup was significantly heightened when I saw her with Leonard's kids. I was amazed at just how perfect she was. Jasper had often assured me that Maliyla would be ready in time and that we would become parents one day.
