Chapter 21
- Hector's POV
- On the way back to the Packhouse, it didn't take long to realize that the kid was just here to spy on me and gather information; his eyes told me as much. The fact that he was young, and he was of no rank, made me aware that he was being used as a decoy of what the question was. I decided to play along with the kid's spy game for now. Instead of confronting him directly, I would feed him false information and see how he reacted. This way, I could gather more intelligence about Erick's scheme and what his true intentions were.
- It was just past four in the morning, and my restlessness was starting to show. After all the excitement, I knew Jasper needed to blow off some steam, so I decided to go for a run. Making my way to the forest that lined the side of the pack house, I stripped out of my clothes, hid them behind a bush, and shifted, giving Jasper complete control.
