• A second chance, mate? Is that even possible? How is that even possible? Did I even want one? What about my wolf?
• All these questions ran through my head as I pondered Hector's words. I wasn't sure if I was ready to open my heart to someone else. As soon as we had finished eating, Hector left. He said he would come back to check on me in the morning. Yet, I couldn't sleep; I kept thinking about Erick's rejection, how my parents turned against me, the conversation I overheard between Hector and an unknown voice, and I was worried about the rumors Jeanie told me about the Blood Rose pack.
