• Maliyla's POV
• I was emotionally drained when I woke up the morning of my parents' trial. I was scared and anxious, but I was also determined to be strong. Having allowed Erick to kick me out of the Blood Rose Pack without a reason, I knew they would be judged. The fact that they didn't ask for a trial and left me to die probably put the cherry on top. In my opinion, those weren't enough reasons for them to receive a harsh sentence, but then again, I didn't write the law. There were strict rules about packs banning members without cause from the high council. They would have to hold a meeting where one would have to prove they had a legitimate reason for doing so.
• When I got out of bed, I felt in a daze. Everything seemed to be moving at a snail's pace. As I prepared for the meeting, I felt dread in my bones.
