Chapter 88
- Hector's POV
- There was no doubt in my mind that Maliyla was concerned about the trial. As her parents, they remained special to her, regardless of what they had done. It was impressive that she could remain positive despite such challenges. She never gave up despite her feelings of defeat. The pain she endured would have broken me long ago, which is why I admired her so much. It was clear that Maliyla had a lot of strength and resilience.
- Following our dinner, Evangeline returned to Egypt with Maliyla's parents and a few guards. We decided to fly out that day as well, but in the afternoon. At first, I envisioned it just being her and me, but Jonathan insisted that Katia join us so she could get a few things and correctly say goodbye to her mother.
