• Being inside Maliyla was the most unparalleled experience I ever had; she felt so fucken good. Since I discovered her lying in the forest, I had wanted to mate and mark her. Despite all the wounds, Maliyla still looked beautiful. The distractions made it easier to control Jasper, as he wanted to hurry up the process. However, I knew that wouldn't help us get closer to her, not with everything she had already been through.
• As the days passed, it became increasingly difficult to contain him. Jasper and I realized after our short argument that controlling Maliyla was not the most effective way to handle the situation, and we needed to stop trying to control her. The brief incident at the tattoo parlor also allowed me to see a different side of her. Despite her calm and quiet nature, there was a fire in Maliyla that could rise at any moment, and she would fight to protect what she loved. The fighting skills she displayed were beyond anything I had ever seen. Maliyla was very skilled, and all thanks to her father. It was a shame he lost sight of what truly mattered.
