Chapter 91
- Maliyla's POV
- Just breathe... The words kept repeating in my head as I sat beside Hector. Although I tried not to look at them, the anger in my father's eyes clarified it that he was disappointed in me, which hurt me deeply. I had never known him to be disappointed in me. In his eyes, I was his only child his entire life, and the same was true for Mom. My mother and I did everything together: shopping, nails, and hair. My mom had taken Gisselle and me dress-shopping for the Wolf's Moon Gala. We spent hours looking for the right dress.
- My mother was supposed to be there on my wedding day, telling me how no other Luna had looked that beautiful before, sobbing with me, knowing that her baby girl was now grown up. I was supposed to hear my father lecture, threaten, and tell Hector he would kill him if he broke my heart. Throughout my childhood, I dreamed of my father walking me down the aisle and telling me how proud he was of me. Yet here I was, waking up to a nightmare instead of my beautiful dream.
