• Maliyla's POV
• The thought of visiting another country was exciting to me, since I had never been abroad before. I would be visiting Egypt for the first time. Despite my nervousness, I was eager to discover a new culture, meet new people, and experience something new. We still had to pick Gisselle up from the hospital. Despite my doubts, I had asked Jeanie to pack her a bag. As soon as I finished packing, I walked to the balcony. It had become my habit to come here to think and to clear my mind. The gym had helped in the past, but since I decided to jump off the balcony and run today, I hadn't had a chance to work out.
• Additionally, my emotions were all over the place right now, which didn't help. All feelings were present in me, including happiness, sadness, anger, and everything in between. While I tried to work through all my emotions, a sense of regret and unworthiness lingered in the back of my mind. Though I was ecstatic, I could not believe Hector found me suitable for his wife. What made me worthy of becoming his Luna? I was young and had much to learn, yet Hector was chosen by the moon goddess despite my rejection, the betrayal of my family, and the abandonment of my best friend.
