• Maliyla's POV
• Laying in Hector's arms felt remarkable. I was happy and content, but a part of me was still afraid that I might have to give it all up to keep him safe. There were only three days left, and I still needed to figure out what I would do. Pushing those thoughts to the back of my mind, I decided to enjoy the current moment. Tilting my head up, I found Hector fast asleep. I smiled and moved closer to him, resting my head on his chest and closing my eyes. Knowing that I could and would figure out a way to keep both of us safe, I wanted to make the most of our time together.
• A few hours later, I woke up and turned over to find a note on the bed and a red rose.
