• When I heard Maliyla's words, I realized how broken she was, struggling with all those insecurities, but her ability to endure and fight made her more beautiful. It was, however, her brokenness that drew me to her. Daunte described her as a fighter, and I knew she would be an excellent Luna and mother. She brought up the topic of having children, which I had been thinking about for some time now. To me, it was vital that Maliyla did not feel obligated to follow the traditional beliefs of any pack. My goal was to make her comfortable and allow things to unfold at their own pace.
• Since we had security matters to take care of regarding the silver nitrate bullets found in Adams' possession, Daunte stayed through the end of the week. Our task had become daunting due to the thousands of hours of footage we had to review. There were also other things that needed our attention. As Katia was pregnant, I knew Jonathan would need more time with his family. Nevertheless, he always prioritized his Beta role over his own needs. As someone who has always admired his hard work and dedication, I intended to give him and Katia their own private house.
