Chapter 25 Stupid

  • "We have to come back here. what if she ignores this? " Gina said as their car drove away from Juliet's office. Michelle wished Gina would just shut her mouth and let her handle this, but Gina was not satisfied... she wanted Michelle to do more so she could be rest assured that no one would stand in her way of getting Alex to marry her... "You don't have to concern yourself with this anymore, Gina. I've told you already that I will take care of this." Michelle almost snapped at her but managed to control herself... When they arrived at Michelle's villa, she walked off without asking Gina if she wanted to come in and stay for long. she needed to clear her mind, and Gina wasn't helping one bit... Gina simply went to where her car was parked and got in "You have to do something or I will" She muttered under Her breath and was about to start her car engine when her phone vibrated in her purse... she immediately took it out, thinking it was her private investigator and that he had more information for her, but her heart dropped when she saw that it was a call from her father...
  • She ran her hand through her hair and sighed deeply before she answered the call. "Hello, dad. I was just about to call you!" She lied sweetly... "Come home for dinner today," Her father said to her at the other end of the line, and before she could answer him, the call was disconnected... she scoffed and took her phone away from her heart... He couldn't even ask how she was like any loving father would ask his daughter. he simply just didn't care, and no matter how much he showed her, it seemed to hurt more each time.... Gina stared at her car engine and drove out of Michelle villa, her already bad mood beyond ruined now. could the day get any worse than it already was...
  • Gina stopped her car in front of her family house... She could feel the tension in the air as she took a step out of her car and walked to the huge doors. She had to take multiple deep breaths before she pressed the doorbell and ruined her mood even more, her step mother was the one who answered the door. "I thought you wouldn't come," Anna said to her, a glass of wine in her hands... "Isn't it too early in the night to be drinking?" Gina said to her, not being able to hide the look of disgust on her face. "No, it's not. Are you coming in, or should I close my door. your father made me this way, " Anna said, and Gina stepped into the house. She couldn't even pity her stepmother because she chose to marry her father because of money when she was fifteen years younger, and now her father was making her life a living hell. She didn't feel one ounce of pity for Anna because she let herself become an alcoholic for a man who wasn't worth it... "Do you want a drink?" Anna asked her, and Gina shook her head... "I'm going to get myself a drink. Your father will be down whenever he wants," Anna said and disappeared into the hallway that led to their mini bar... "Pathetic," Gina muttered and walked into the living room... she hated this house so much and wished she wouldn't return here. Her father had made sure to get rid of anything that reminded him of her mother when they got divorced. it was like he was getting rid of every trace of her. Gina hated her mother for abandoning her with such a man, but a part of her understood her father. it was hard living with such a person. The last time she saw her Mom was in high school a few years after their divorce. she had run away from the house and went to her mother's address only to find out her mother was married and was having a baby with a new man... Her mother had been shocked to see her and didn't waste time to turn her away and ask her to go back home... She had been so hot to see her mother happy while her life was a nightmare... She went back that day and never looked back. She didn't bother to ever approach her mother and see how she was doing with her new family... her father remarried a few years later too, and she had told Anna when she moved in that she would regret it and she was right... Anna was living in her nightmare now...
