Chapter 106 Time Together
- Alex picked Juliet up in one go by her waist and placed her on the table... breaking their kiss... Juliet's lips were slightly parted as she raised her eyes to look into his... she felt her eyes water up as she stared into his eyes... Alex leaned closer and kissed the single tear that escaped her eyes. His kiss was so soft that it only made more tears escape her eyes... Her heart felt really warm... "You make me feel complete," She whispered and wrapped her arms around him... Alex hugged her back and closed his eyes, relishing the moment in the arms of the woman he was head over heels in love with... He started to think back to the first time he had seen her... was it from then? Or was it the time he had seen him from his office ? he had no idea when his heart started to beat for her and when he fell for her... All that mattered to him was the fact that he met her... she made him complete, too... she made him want to be alive... She was like a beam of light that had illuminated his dark life... She made him want to carry on and made him want to heal from his past traumas. He never knew one could come to love someone so much that it felt surreal... Juliet broke the hug, and a warm smile graced her beautiful face... oh! How she looked beautiful when she smiled... if only she knew what that did to him... "I wish I could come with you to work," She said to him and knew that Alex was going to ask her to, so she immediately shook her head. "I'm not coming with you, not yet," She added, and Alex sighed deeply... "I can skip work if you want and we can spend the day together," He said to her, and Juliet was tempted to ask him to. "That wouldn't be right," She said, and Alex chuckled a bit... "No one can scold me if I do, I can make up for it later... I want to spend the day with you, " He said, and Juliet couldn't bring herself to say no... she nodded, agreeing to it... Alex's face brightened up, and he carried her down from the table, causing a giggle to erupt from Juliet... "First, you have to change out of these wet clothes," He said and proceeded to carry her bridal style out of the kitchen... Juliet felt like face-palming herself and couldn't stop smiling... "I can walk on my own," She said to him, and Alex shook his head... "I know, but I want to do this," He replied as he went up the stairs.... He finally put her down when they got to her room, and then silence reigned between the both of them... "I will be right out," Juliet said to him, and he nodded. "I will be waiting here," He responded, and she looked at him one last time before she disappeared into her room... Alex took the opportunity to call Patrick and inform him that he wouldn't be coming to work... Patrick didn't ask him anything and only simply told him he would postpone his meeting, which Alex found a bit odd but didn't dwell on...
- Juliet had a smile on her face as she walked into her closer and took off her dress... she put on a skirt and hoody and then her eyes landed on the bag from the store she had gone to with Lana... she swallowed and gave her head a little shake when dirty and naughty thoughts wanted to creep into her mind... "we are only going to spend the day together, nothing more" She muttered and let out a deep breath before she left her room, but Alex wasn't standing outside her door when she came out of her room...
- She was about to go to his room when she saw him approaching... he had changed his work clothes to casual clothes... Alex stretched his hand and took her hand... the both of them went downstairs and back to the kitchen to clear the breakfast table and then back to the living room because juliet had some work to finish before the end of the day... It reminded her of the time Michelle had come to the house unannounced and she was working... "I might take a while you can do something else while I work," She suggested, but alex shook his head. "I can wait, you don't have to worry, I won't disturb you," He assumed, and juliet squinted her eyes at him a bit before she nodded... she opened her laptop and sat on the floor, while Alex sat on the couch... watching her... "Do you want any snacks or drink?" He asked her just a few minutes into her work, and juliet nodded. "Just some orange juice," She said, and Alex immediately sprang into action like her assistant... a smile appeared on Juliet's face as she watched him walk to the kitchen and come back a few minutes later with her juice... "Thank you," She said and continued with her work... Soon, juliet got really immense in her work, and a few hours passed before she was finally done... Like he had promised Alex didn't disturb her thr whole time... Juliet stretched and yawned before closing her laptop... It was then She noticed alex eyes were closed and he was asleep... A smile appeared on her face as she got up and sat on the couch close to him... his eyes were closed, and she could see a crease in his brow... she started to reach her hand towards his face and before she could touch him alex held her hand in a tight grip taking juliet by surpise... "Alex!" Juliet said his name in a worried tone, and his eyes flew open... He immediately released her hand when he realised he was holding it in a tight grip
