Chapter 122 Dead End

• "Alex!" juliet called out after she had knocked on his room door but got no response... she turned the door knob and pushed the door open, juluet propped her head through the open door to look into the room before he walked in... "Alex," She called once again but didn't get a response... "Where is he?" he muttered... she had been working on her laptop for hours, and now she missed him.... she left the room and went downstairs to look for him and Immediately she walked into the living room her eyes sighted Alex standing by the balcony of the penthouse... she saw through the glass windows.... his back was turned to her, and he was on the phone... she dropped her laptop on the couch and left to the kitchen to make herself a cup of coffee, hoping that when she returned, Alex would have been done with bi's phone call. but when she returned, he was still standing there, but he no longer had his back turned to her... a smile appeared on his face when he saw her and she smiled back at him...
• Juliet eyes travelled to Alex as he stood at the balcony of the house and had been talking on the phone for a while... she assumed it was about work, but she couldn't help but keep her eyes on him... he didn't look serious like when he spoke about work on the phone with Patrick, instead this time he had a smile on his face as he spoke to whoever it was... he smiled at her and winked, and juliet face became flushed when she realised he had caught her staring... she looked away and took a sip out of the coffee in her hand... juliet opened her laptop and tried to distract herself with work, but she couldn't concentrate on a thing and kept glancing at him through the glass wall... she quickly looked away when he ended the call..
• Alex came back into the living room a few minutes later and sat close to her...
