• Coralline walked hurriedly into her sister's house, her heart racing and her mind railing. She had heard something from someone and had to confirm if it was true. Michelle was on her way out of her house when she almost bumped into her sister, who was at her front door. Caroline immediately took a step back... "Michelle, is everything I heard true... please tell me it isn't," Caroline said to her sister, who walked right past her and headed to her garage. "Michelle, please say something!" Caroline said in a a raised voice that caused Michelle to to stop in her tracks. "Yes, it is; everything you heard is true, it's all true!" Michelle snapped and turned to look at their sister, who stood there completely shocked and dumbfounded. "it's all true; I hurt Alex. I hurt My son," Michelle muttered, and Caroline stumbled a bit... she couldn't believe what she was hearing. She walked up to her sister and held her arm, and Michelle's eyes started to blur with tears. "Tell me everything that happened so I can help you please..." Caroline said, and Michelle nodded... "I need to see Alex and make sure he is okay; he is at the hospital,", She said. Caroline took the car keys from her hand and led her to the passenger front seat; she made sure her sister was strapped in before she went over to the driver's side... She glanced at Michelle before she started the car engine and drove out of the garage...
• On their way to the hospital, Michelle told her sister everything that happened, and Caroline had to look for where to park the car because she needed a while to process everything that he sister had just told her. "What!" Caroline said and ran her hand through her hair, tugging on it a little. "How could you keep a thing like this to yourself, Michelle, for so long!" Caroline said, and Michelle's head hung low as tears escaped her eyes. "I didn't want to... but I was terrified of what he would do to me if I told anyone... he didn't hesitate to do that to Glenda, and I'm sure he wouldn't hesitate for me either, ", Michelle said, and Caroline let out a really deep sigh. They both sat there in silence for a while as Caroline thought about what could be a way out for her sister... the whole situation was beyond shocking... she started the car engine and drove down to the hospital, and the both of them rode the elevator in silence... When they arrived at the floor, Alex was Michelle. She hesitated when the elevator opened, but Caroline took her hand and led her to put the elevator... they walked towards Alex's room, and Michelle stopped in her tracks when they almost got there. Her heart raced in fear, and Caroline turned to look at her sister. Michelle fisted her hand and swallowed... she wanted to leave because she was afraid of seeing the state Alex was in because of her; she just couldn't.
• Caroline turned to look at her sister with confusion etched on her face. She had no idea why Michelle had suddenly stopped walking when they had almost arrived at Alex's room... Did she have something else to tell her? Was there more that she was hiding, it made Caroline's heart almost drop at the thought that there might be more than her sister was hiding, and it made her wonder how Michelle could have lived for so many years like nothing ever happened "What are you doing, why did you stop" Caroline asked and Michelle shook her head and removed her hand from her sister's grasp.. "I can't do this," she muttered in a low shook voice that made Caroline let out a really deep sigh. "you have to Michelle, we are here already, you can't turn back now" Caroline urged, but Michelle shook her head and took a step back, she was about to turn away and walk back to the elevator but Caroline immediately blocked her way before she could... "Move, please." Michelle pleaded, but Caroline shook her head now. "I can't let you leave,", She said firmly "You know, for so long, I wondered why something you looked as if you were trapped in a daze... you were so irritable, and with each passing day, your relationship with Alex worsened. I always thought it was because of his father, but now I know it is because you felt guilt anytime you were with him... you made your son dislike you," Caroline said, and Michelle swallowed... "I need to go,", she said and was about to walk past her sister, but Caroline blocked her way again... if she hadn't been to help her sister, now was the time to help in a way she could. "You have to tell him you are sorry... you have to beg for his forgiveness, Michelle... maybe he could forgive you now," Caroline said, and Michelle's face palmed as tears escaped her eyes... "he hates me, Caro... and I hate myself too... I left him when he needed me the most, and I was selfish and only thought about myself and my guilt instead of my son... I regret what I did every single day and wish I could change what happened, but I can't... and I ruined everything... what am I going to do Caro... how could he ever forgive me? " Michelle said, and Caroline drew her into a warm hug and started to pat her back soothingly... "Everything is going to alright... I'm here for you, " She said softly as tears escaped her eyes too... her heart broke for her sister, and she knew Michelle was truly remorseful for what she had done, and if she could fix everything, then she would, but she could... she could only cry over spilt milk because she was the one who had spilt the milk. After all, now she needed the milk and it was too late... she couldn't find any anymore... everything had been spilt...
