Chapter 105 Beyond Words

• "Did you try it on?" Lana asked Juliet over the phone the following morning, she was standing in the break room with a lingering smile on her face as she spoke to Juliet, curiosity had gotten the better of her and she couldn't stop herself from caring for Juliet to ask.. Juliet got up from her bed and walked to her bathroom to answer Juliet's questions. she couldn't risk Alex overhearing her phone call... she left the door unlocked and opened in case he came into her room... "Yes, I did," Juliet answered, her cheeks becoming flushed as memories of the previous night invaded her mind... she had not seen Alex yet and didn't even know what to say to him when she saw him. Anytime she thought about him, she kept remembering the look he had on his face, and it made her swallow. She knew she was never going to forget the look in his eyes. It caused a type of tension within her... A tension that she had purchased the lingering because of in the first place... "Really! Did you like it? " Lana asked, and Juliet took a few seconds before she answered... "I think I did, but.." She trailed off and bit her lips... "What's wrong? Was it too sexy?" Lana said, the teasing evident in her voice... "I knew it would look perfect on you, I got to go, Sonia is asking for me," Lana said and ended the call before Juliet could tell her about what had happened... juliet sighed deeply and walked out of the bathroom... she headed to her room door and her hand travelled to the doorknob but stopped midair... she was hungry... when Alex had asked her if she had dinner, she lied to him when she told him she had dinner with Lana because of how nervous she was and now she was slowly becoming nervous again and knew she had to go downstairs to get some breakfast for herself... Juliet sighed deeply once again before she gave her head a little shake and exited her room.... she walked slowly down the stairs, wondering if Alex was still in his room or if he had left for work, but when she got to the kitchen she stopped right in her tracks immediately her eyes landed on Alex... He was setting the table for both of them and had some freshly baked pastries, whose delightful aroma invaded Juliet's nostrils and made her stomach grow.. when did he even buy this? He was dressed for work already and seemed to only wait for her to come down for breakfast before he left... he seemed different from the previous night... "Good morning, I was about to call you down for breakfast," Alex said to Juliet when he noticed her presence in the room. He didn't look nervous like she was... Juliet fisted her hand beside her as she walked fully into the kitchen and took a seat on the chair he had drawn out for her...
• "Good morning," Juliet greeted him back in a low voice, her eyes on him as he dropped a cup of coffee in front of her and then took a seat opposite her. She started with her breakfast and they both ate in silence, juliet couldn't help but glance at Alex occasionally... her eyes taking in his every feature, her heart racing in her chest as she continued to stare at him... "Is there something on my face?" Alex finally asked, he could feel her staring at him... He raised his eyes slowly to look at her and their eyes met and locked... silence reigned between the both of them as they stared at each other not saying a word... Juliet finally broke it and looked away... she swallowed and picked up the glass of water close to her and because of how nervous and tensed up she had suddenly become the cup slipped from her hand causing the whole glass of water to splash on her clothes... "shit!" juliet cursed under her breath she tried to wipe her dress...
• Alex immediately got up and picked up a few wipes... he walked over to her and turned her chair to face him.... he knelt in front of her and started to wipe her clothes... "Why are you so nervous?" He asked in a low voice and Juliet swallowed... He slowly looked up at her and she felt her heart do a back flip in her chest as she stared deeply into his mesmerizing eyes... it was magnetic...electric... a spark started to erupt between the both of them and Alex froze... "do I make you nervous" He asked in a low voice and Juliet looked down at his hand that had stopped wiping her dress... "Yes you do, I feel like I'm going crazy" Juliet answered in a low voice, her cheeks becoming flushed... how could she tell him that when he was this close she found it hard to breathe and catch her breath... how do she tell him that he made her feel all giddy and made her know the meaning of butterflies in ones belly... even now as he stared at her... her heart felt like it was going to explode right out of her chest... It was overwhelming and it didn't help that he saw her like that the previous night..
