Chapter 102 Addicted To Her
- "I'm here to speak to you, and I'm not leaving till you hear me out," Gina responded firmly... in her mind, she was determined not to lose him... "Then I'm leaving," Charles said, but Gina quickly leaned closer and took his car keys that she had sighted a few seconds ago away from him... "You can't leave now," She said, and Charles scoffed... "You do know I can take a taxi right, you can keep the keys." He was about to leave when Gina stopped him and held his hand... "Please just hear me out, and if you still want me to go, then I will." Charles finally turned to look at her and saw the sincerity in her eyes... how could he say no to her when she was looking at him like this... He sighed deeply and slowly nodded. "Just a few minutes," He said and walked into his bar... a smile appeared on Gina's face as she followed after him... The dampened mood that she had been in for over a week started to dissipate. It seemed to be so when she was around him...
- The bar was empty when they walked in as it was still early afternoon on a Saturday, even though it became crowded in the evenings... Charles walked to his private room in his bar and took a seat... Gina took a seat a few spaces away from him, and she still had a lingering smile on her face while Charles had a slight frown on... "I'm listening," Charles and Gina swallowed... "Well, before I met you, my dad wanted me to get engaged to someone... That was the only reason why I approached Alex in the first place, I Don't have any feelings for him I just didn't want to do my father's bidding and end up with a jerk like that but then I met you and..." Gina trailed off, wondering if she sounded absurd... "He threatened to take away my boutique if I didn't do as he says, I was pushed to the wall and had no choice but to listen...I'm sorry I shouldn't have lied to you" She continued her head hung low because of the tears that were threatening to fall from her eyes... "I worked too hard and I was afraid I would lose all my hard work...I know I was being selfish but" Gina slowly raised her head to look at Charles who was looking right at her and hadn't said anything... she was trying to read his face for a reaction, but she couldn't. It was hard to tell if he was still mad...
- "So what happened after, why did you give up on Alex... isn't he a better catch than me with a failing business and a company that is almost bankrupt?" Charles asked, and Gina swallowed... how could she explain to him that he had occupied her mind and left her disoriented thinking about him all the time... How could she also tell him that his mother had threatened her into it... "I fell for someone, and I couldn't think straight anymore," Gina answered, and Charles's cold exterior immediately faltered... He swallowed and looked away from her. She looked like she was telling the truth, but...
