Chapter 160 Frozen
- "That's enough!" Charles Graham slammed his hand on the table as Gina had done, and Anna flinched and couldn't utter a single word. She could only watch in silence as the father and daughter glared at each other, and Gina scoffed. A smile of anger appeared on her face. "Anna here knows exactly what I'm talking about... you always treated her like trash when she u your freaking wife" Her father turned to look at his wife who immediately looked away but said nothing in his favour... "All I ever did was care for you, Gina... you are just as ungrateful as yours..." he trailed off, but his words made Gina chuckle because she knew who exactly he was talking about.
- "When have you ever cared about me, Dad? You never did... you just always made me feel like what happened between you, and Mom was my fault, but it wasn't!" Gina exploded, and Charles held her hand, trying to stop her from saying anything else to her father, but she swatted his hand away... she looked like she had had enough and couldn't bear to listen to him anymore... "Gina!" Her father yelled at her, "What!" Gina yelled back at him, while Anna, who was standing behind Charles no,w, gasped... she looked like she was enjoying every bit of what was happening... "Your mother was just a gold digger and she was selfish and self-centred... if she thought about you she wouldn't have asked me for a divorce and I didn't stop her from seeing you, she didn't want to.. she gave up all her right for you," Charles said and sighed deeply... and Gina froze completely because of what her father said. "You made her abandon me," Gina breathed out and blinked back the tears that were threatening to fall from her eyes... "I know about her new family. I went to see her and she looked happy. she looked really happy without me and asked me to leave..." Gina said in a low voice, her heartbreaking... "What!" Charles said and Gina let out a very deep sigh. "You made it unbearable for her, you made her so unhappy, and when she left,t, you made me unhappy. I always blamed myself for everything. Maybe you hated her because I was a girl and wasn't the heir you wanted. Maybe it was because I wasn't good enough. I was just the child who reminded you of your ex-wife that betrayed you... I tried to do everything to please you even though it made me unhappy but not anymore... I can't do this anymore," Gina said and turned to leave, and Charlie immediately followed after her while her father stood there too dumbfounded to speak... Anna, behind him, couldn't utter a single word. Her heart broke for Gina, and she felt anger toward her husband. She also left him all alone in there to reflect on himself...
- Gina's eyes blurred with tears as she walked out of her father's house... she tried to catch her breath as tears escaped her eyes... her heart was hurting too much and she froze when Charles who was standing behind her drew her into a warm embraced and Gina broke down completely... she cried in his arms as they stood outside... her shoulders trembling violently... her heart feeling beyond heavy... she felt like a weight had been finally lifted off her shoulder but instead of her to feel good that it was finally gone, she felt pain instead... her heart was in havoc and she missed her mom... she missed her so much... a few minutes passed and Gina finally calmed down and raised her red and swollen eyes to look at Charles who looked like he was about to cry too... "We should get going", She said, and Charles nodded, but before they left, he wiped the tears away from her eyes. Gina managed to smile at him, but her eyes became blurred once again with tears. Charles couldn't bear to see her cry. It broke his heart to know that she was in pain and he never wanted to see so much pain and sadness in her eyes again. he wanted to see her happy for the rest of her life... Charles took her hand in his and led her to the car, while Anna stood at the entrance of the house watching as the couple who were visibly in love walked away... she felt her heart break and her eyes water up a bit because she knew it was too late for her and once in her life she had craved for such a love, she had craved for the warmth and care of someone... she had craved for that emotional connection of being in love, but now she was trapped with her nemesis...
