Chapter 70

• Mia slowly opened her eyes, taking in the room around her. She stretched her hands out towards the bed, only to realize that Liam was no longer beside her. Panic set in as she immediately sat up, fearing that he had left her again just like he did at the hotel. Climbing down from the bed, she quickly wrapped her messy hair into a bun, grabbed the blanket, and tied it around her chest.
• As she walked out of the bedroom, she saw Liam setting the table. He was dressed in black sweatpants and a gray t-shirt that accentuated his muscular arms. His messy black hair only added to his handsomeness. Liam looked up and their eyes met.
• “You’re awake,” he said, smiling at her.
