Chapter 22

• Charlotte's smile faded instantly as Chase pulled his hand away from hers. "Chase?" she called, bewildered by the strange look he gave her.
• "Mia," Liam called out as he entered the room. You shouldn't be standing up," he said, guiding her back to her bed. "I'm glad you're okay. I'll get the doctor, Liam continued, but paused when he noticed Charlotte's confused expression and Chase's odd demeanor towards her. I'll explain everything to you later, he promised, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze before leaving the room.
