• Mia sat in her car, breathing heavily, as the memories of her encounter with Charlotte in the cell came flooding back. The incident from years ago replayed in her head like a haunting nightmare. She held her head in her hands and screamed loudly, feeling as though she was on the verge of losing her mind. She tried to shake off the thoughts, but her mind kept drifting back to that fateful day.
• She remembered hearing loud screams outside and rushing out to see what was happening. That's when she saw Jordan lying on the floor, with a stranger administering CPR. Her mother stood nearby, her face etched with fear. The stranger placed two fingers over Jordan's nose, looked up at her mother, and shook his head. Mia's mother let out a blood-curdling scream as she realized her son was gone.
• Mia ran to Jordan's side, shaking him frantically, as if trying to revive him. Her father pulled her up, his voice trembling with pain. "He's gone!" he exclaimed. Mia's mother turned to Charlotte, her eyes blazing with anger. "It was you!" she yelled. "You were supposed to be babysitting him. Why did you let him die?!" she screamed at Charlotte, who was already crying uncontrollably. "This is all your fault!" her mother spat, her gaze fixed on Charlotte.
