Chapter 28

• Why are you coming back late? She heard Chase's voice say from behind her as she turned around slowly, exhausted.
• "I visited my parents; we had a lot to catch up on," she said with the little strength she had left. Chase walked over to her, wearing gray sweatpants and a black sleeveless shirt that revealed his muscles, his hands in his pockets.
• "I don't believe you," he said bluntly. I understand that you have relationships with men outside this marriage, but does everybody have to know?" he asked. "You are seen as a married woman. Act like it; don't act so freely, and never come back this late, Chase said.
