Chapter 89

• Cynthia had left the night before after hearing her younger sister was unwell. She hurried out, and the fact that she hadn't told Ken before leaving bothered him more than he wanted to admit.
• To keep his mind occupied, he spent the whole night working. He rolled over to the small safe in his room, took out some old files, and started going through the company documents that Thomas had mentioned earlier that day. By dawn, printouts and papers were scattered all over his desk. At some point, he had dozed off on the table.
