- The afternoon unfolded slowly as Dr Morris had just finished his session with Ken and had left. Cynthia moved about tidying the space. She folded the blankets on the therapy stretcher, gathered the used towels, and carefully rearranged Ken's medications on the small table by his bedside.
- Ken, who had been watching her, gave a low chuckle.
- "You're starting to make my room look like a clinic."
