• Later that morning, a white SUV rolled into the estate and parked neatly in front of the Sydney mansion. From the back seat, Doctor Morris stepped out in a well-tailored suit, carrying a briefcase. Several of the household staff were already waiting at the entrance; they welcomed him respectfully and ushered him inside.
• "Mrs. Sidney will be with you shortly," one of them said, then left.
• Doctor Morris settled briefly into one of the soft cushioned sofas in the spacious living room. His eyes swept across the room, quietly admiring the elegance of the mansion—the glittering chandelier above, the expensive art, and the framed family portraits on the walls. After a moment, curiosity drew him to his feet. He walked closer to the pictures, studying them with interest, when the sound of footsteps made him turn quickly.
