Cynthia had planned to show Ken the video today, but instead, she decided to use it to threaten Mrs. Sydney. Her goal was to stop all the accusations and make Mrs. Sydney promise not to hurt Kate. That way, the video wouldn't have to be exposed. She had thought about this all through the previous night… presenting the proof to Mrs. Sydney would silence her—especially since her face appeared clearly in the clip. However, it would also mean that Cynthia couldn't show it to Ken. It would feel like making a promise to ensure Kate's safety, especially since she couldn't reach her directly. This meant she would have to postpone showing Ken the video—or maybe never show him at all—to keep that promise and protect Kate.
That morning, during her session with Ken, she was visibly worried and distracted.
As she tried massaging Ken's leg, it felt too good to be true… then Mrs. Sydney's threat flashed into her mind. The thought of never being able to see Ken again or being forced to stay away from him permanently made her sick. She would give anything just to continue massaging him, no matter how long it took. Being with him was something she deeply valued—something she wasn't willing to trade for anything.
