- A soft knock came at Cynthia's door. Still half-asleep, she groaned and shifted slightly. She reached out with her hand, eyes shut, blindly searching for her phone on the side table. Her fingers brushed against its cold surface. She picked it up and blinked as the screen lit up.
- 4:13 a.m.
- She frowned. Who would knock on her door at this hour?
