• Mr. Sydney stood in front of the mirror in his bedroom, tying his tie. Behind him, a servant was making the bed, while another adjusted the curtains to let in just the right amount of light. On the dresser, a fresh cup of tea sat untouched, steam gently rising from it.
• Mr. Sydney took his suit from the valet and put it on. He was ready to leave.
• Just then, Mrs. Sydney walked in. She looked elegant as always in her simple lemonade flowery gown, her hair perfectly combed, styled, and pinned at the back, even though it was still early. Her eyes went straight to her husband.
