Chapter 68 Sixty Eight

  • When Serena's eyes fluttered open, she was greeted by a dark, cold surrounding. The dim lighting barely illuminated the room, casting long, jagged shadows across the walls. Her head throbbed painfully, making it difficult to remember how she got here, or what had happened.
  • Her breath caught in her throat as she tried to move, but a sharp sting of restriction stopped her. She attempted to shift her body, only to realize that her wrists and ankles were bound tightly to the chair she was seated in. Panic surged through her as she pulled at the ropes, but the knots were tight, and the rough material bit into her skin with each desperate tug.
  • The faint sound of beeping reached her ears and her stomach dropped. She turned her head, eyes scanning the dark corners of the room for the source of the sound, only to realize with growing horror that the beeping was coming from beside her. She saw that it was a small device, like a wristwatch, counting, 2 hours...
