- The birds chirped freely, fluttering their small wings as the flew in the sky. It was a late autumn evening and the wind was cold, blowing the dried and yellowed leaves around the garden.
- Adonis sat on the floor, his back against the tree. His eyes fell to his arm where a cut laid, a result of the punishment his Stepmother, Guila had given him for breaking her China. She'd used the broken utensil to give him a cut while Camillo stood there with a smirk. Adonis didn't let his father see the cut. He would be livid. Why was Guilia so cruel to him? Why couldn't she love him like she loved her son, Camillo. Why do they both hate him?
