• Serena arrived home in the early evening after spending the day with Aria. She had missed her so much. She'd picked her up from the other villa where she was staying with Gretel and they'd spent the day shopping and at the playground. Serena missed being with her and couldn't wait to start living with her again.
• As she entered the bedroom, she glanced at the time. It was just a few minutes before 7. Adonis was probably still in his office, working. She considered slipping into the kitchen to start dinner, her mind already planning what to make when her phone buzzed on the counter.
