Chapter 32 Thirty Two

• Serena's eyes fluttered open, and she was greeted by the warm, golden light of morning. She stretched, arching her back and extending her arms above her head. As she sat up, her gaze fell on the figure lying beside her, and she froze. Adonis was fast asleep, Aspen curled up by his side.
• Serena's eyes widened in surprise as she took in the sight of him. When did he even arrive? She'd slept so deeply she hadn't even noticed when he came in the previous night. For a moment, she simply stared at him, taking in the contours of his face, the way his curls framed his features. And how peaceful he looked while asleep, a stark contrast to the icy expression he always wore.
• His brows furrowed slightly, and Serena smiled gently. For more than two weeks that they'd been living together, this would be the first time she woke up next to Adonis. He was always up before her. What happened today? 'Maybe he's stressed from work,' she thought to herself.
