Chapter 5 Five

  • "They're here, Director Andreas,"
  • Adonis nodded with disinterest, his eyes fixed intently on his laptop screen, engrossed in his work. After he'd learnt of Camillo's plans, he was able to counter it flawlessly. Always staying one step ahead.
  • "The driver proved difficult, so he was eliminated," Giovanni continued. "The team returned with the lady only." Adonis's gaze remained fixed on the screen, his expression unreadable. "Felice reported she's a waitress at Mamma Deliziosa, a popular restaurant in Cazoretto, and she was Mr Camillo's college girlfriend, the one he intends to marry."
  • Adonis's lips curled into a subtle smirk. He looked up from his laptop, his piercing gaze meeting Giovanni's. For an instant, their eyes locked, and Giovanni immediately averted his, uneasy. "She must be dear to him," Adonis observed, his tone neutral, devoid of emotion.
  • He rose from his seat, his movements deliberate, calculated. "Let's...tamper with her, shall we?"The smirk had vanished, replaced by an unnerving calm.
  • Giovanni's eyes widened, alarm creeping into his voice. "Tamper with her, sir? She doesn't look too well, sir." He thought Adonis would reconsider, but his boss's resolve was unshakeable, forged from years of ruthless decision-making.
  • Without a word, Adonis exited the office, Giovanni hurrying after him. Giovanni led him to the room where they'd kept Serena.
  • ***
  • Serena's eyelids fluttered open, revealing a harshly lit room that pierced through her skull like a dagger. There was utter silence. Her head throbbed with pain, each beat echoing through her entire body. Her body was hot. What happened? She felt an ache on her arm but when she tried to move, she realised she wasn't able to. Panic set in, her eyes widening in terror. She tugged at the rope that was used to tie her hands to the bed post.
  • Serena's heart thumped as the ugly memories from few years ago resurfaced. Camillo tied her to the bed again? Was he going to hit her to unconsciousness as he always did?
  • Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes, her breath catching in her throat. She didn't even know what to concentrate on. The fear of what was going to happen to her, Aria's safely or the tingling sensation all over her body.
  • Her inner thighs ached, a dull, pulsing pain that spread upward. Her chest felt heavy. The crawling feeling intensified, spreading through her veins like wildfire. It must be the effect of the drug.
  • "Camillo, quel bastardo!" she muttered, anger mixing with despair. But even her outrage was short-lived, as the drug's influence intensified. Her thoughts fragmented, rationality slipping away with each passing second.
  • (Camillo, that bastard!)
  • Just then, the door clicked and swung open. Serena looked up, expecting to see Camillo, expecting him to laugh out in triumph but instead, a handsome stranger entered, clad in a tailored suit, holding a tablet, his brown eyes scanning her with detached interest. Before Serena could process his presence, another figure slipped into the room, the door slamming shut behind him. The sudden noise made Serena flinch.
  • Her eyes locked onto the newcomer, and her breath caught. His gaze was piercing, almost disdainful, yet mesmerizing. Serena couldn't look away.
  • He approached her, squatting before her with fluid ease. Their eyes met, and Serena's heart skipped a beat. His eyes were breathtaking – heterochromia, with an otherworldly beauty. The right eye, sectoral, blended green and brown, almost hazel, while the left eye, central heterochromia, contrasted dark emerald with light brown.
  • The intensity of his gaze alone made Serena's head spin, her thighs tightening involuntarily. Ebony curls framed his chiseled face, perfect in every angle. Camillo, once the epitome of handsome, paled in comparison to this stranger. He is literally a Greek god.
  • This stranger was perfection incarnate, and Serena's desire stirred, unexpected and unwelcomed. Her rationality whispered warnings, but her body refused to listen.
  • Adonis's piercing gaze swept over Serena, his expression disdainful, as if surveying a fragile, broken creature. "This is who Camillo wants to marry?" He scoffed, his deep voice dripping with sarcasm, echoing through the room. "I thought he had taste, at least." His words cut through the air, sharp as a knife.
  • His eyes lingered on her frail frame, noting the unhealthy thinness. Dark red locks framed her face, and her amber eyes seemed drowned out by the redness. Her skin was flushed, a delicate rose hue, and Adonis's lip curled in distaste.
  • "Pathetic," he muttered, his tone dripping with contempt, as if Camillo's choice was beneath him. Serena glared at him, despite her toes curling at the deep, resonant sound of his voice. It sent shivers down her spine, an unsettling mix of fear and fascination.
  • Adonis turned to Giovanni, his brow furrowed, "Why is she looking like this?"
  • Giovanni replied, his tone measured, making sure to emphasise on the JUST, "Felice just reported she was fed a high dosage of MDMA, sir."
  • Adonis's expression darkened, his eyes narrowing. "Aphrodisiac?" He shook his head, incredulous, disgust slightly etched on his face. Camillo plans to drug her and take advantage of her. His gaze snapped back to Serena, his expression hardening.
  • He rose to his feet, his voice firm, authoritative. "Untie her." Giovanni hastened to obey, setting the tablet aside and squatting to free Serena from her restraints. The ropes fell away, and Serena rubbed her chafed wrists, her eyes fixed on Adonis.
  • As she looked up, her voice trembled, "Who are you? What are you going to do to me?" Fear and uncertainty etched her face, her amber eyes pleading. Adonis's gaze lingered on hers, his expression cold and unreadable.
  • Then suddenly, Adonis's lips curled into a fleeting, psychopathic smirk, sending a shiver down Serena's spine. "Wouldn't you rather have it be a surprise?"
  • Before she could respond, Adonis leaned down, his grip on her arm like a vice as he pulled her up. Serena gasped, her skin burning beneath his touch. Despite herself, she felt an inexplicable pull, melting into his grasp.
  • His cologne wafted up, a subtle lavender scent that belied his intimidating appearance. It was an unexpected contrast, like finding a delicate flower in a desert. The fragrance teased her senses and she began to move her hand on his chest.
  • Adonis abruptly shoved her away, leaving Serena staggering. She caught herself on the bed, her hands grasping the sheets to steady herself.
  • Giovanni spoke up, his tone urgent, "She could be greatly affected if not relieved, sir! MDMA can have severe consequences without proper care."
  • Adonis's response was curt, dismissive. "Leave." Giovanni bowed hastily and exited the room, leaving Adonis alone with Serena. The door clicked shut.
  • Adonis folded his arms, his gaze fixed on Serena. She lay on the bed, face buried in the sheets, her legs shifting restlessly as she sobbed quietly.
  • He'd planned to kidnap her, use her as leverage against Camillo. But the discovery of the drugging changed everything. Adonis found himself thinking. For Camillo to go to the lengths of drugging someone, Adonis knew he must really want her.
  • Adonis strode towards Serena, his movements fluid and menacing, like a predator closing in on its prey. He grasped her bunned hair, yanking her up with an iron grip. Serena cried out, pain lancing through her scalp as her eyes welled up with tears.
  • "Make a noise, and I'll have that throat sliced," he growled, his voice low and deadly, sending tremors through her very being. Serena's heart pounded, fear suffusing her veins like icy water. Yet, amidst the terror, she craved human touch - his touch.
  • Tears rolled down her cheeks, and she whispered, "Help me." The plea escaped her lips before she could censor it. She should be plotting escape, saving Aria, not begging a stranger to have his way with her.
  • Adonis's gaze lingered on hers, his expression unreadable. "Oh, I will. Don't worry," The way he said that, Serena was sure she wouldn't like the outcome of whatever was going to happen. Adonis stroked her cheek and she whimpered. She wanted more despite her brain screaming NO. However, looking at her, Adonis wasn't impressed. She isn't his type of woman, at all. But if she's what Camillo wants, then he has no other choice than to take her away from him.
  • He'll shatter Camillo bit by bit. He'll make sure Camillo goes through the same hell he'd put him through in the past. He'll take everything from Camillo. The easy way or the hard way.
  • With a sudden movement, Adonis grabbed the back of Serena's head and crushed his lips to hers. Serena responded, her kiss sloppy and desperate, driven by the MDMA coursing through her veins. His lips were soft, so soft.
  • Adonis groaned, irritation flashing across his face before he deepened the kiss. Serena's hands roamed his body, frantic and wild, seeking solace in his touch. Her breathing came in small whimpers: "Touch me. Please." She was desperate. So desperate she could get down on her knees to beg.
  • Adonis pulled away, retrieving his phone from his pocket. He set it on the table, ensuring it wouldn't be tampered with, his eyes locked on Serena, who was desperately trying to get some friction between her legs. The drug had taken a full effect on her and she was like a sex starved nymph.
  • He climbed unto the bed, stripping off his shirt. She attacked him immediately. He gave her what she wanted, taking what he wanted in return. Serena's cries and pleas filled the room. The sound of a recording device echoed, capturing every moment – every moan, every whisper.
