Chapter 26 Twenty Six

• When Adonis entered the house, it was already quite late. He immediately went to take a shower. He noticed Serena wasn't in the room but then he knew she was in the house. Her scent lingered and Freya didn't look horrified when he entered.
• After a refreshing shower, Adonis donned his grey robe and headed downstairs to the dining room. He'd visited his doctor who hadn't said much. Only told him to continue sleeping in whatever way he slept that made him sleep that long. As he entered the dining, he paused, his eyes narrowing.
• Instead of Freya, Serena stood at the table, her slender fingers moving deftly as she set the dishes and silverware. The soft white nightdress she wore seemed to glow in the dim light, giving her an ethereal quality.
