Chapter 57 Fifty Seven

• Serena was wide awake, her eyes on her phone as she scrolled through Instagram and occasionally checked the time. It was 11pm and Adonis still wasn't home. Maybe he's not coming, she thought but still felt worried.
• She'd called him but his number wasn't going through. She couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong.
• Some minutes later, she felt pressed and went to take a pee. Just as she walked out of the restroom, someone barged into the room. It was Adonis, his towering figure standing by the door. Serena's eyes lit up, feeling relief wash over her. She walked towards him, "Hey..." but her greeting got cut off when she saw the blood that soaked his white shirt.
