- Lyra tore through the rooms of the mansion like a whirlwind of spite, shattering porcelain and shredding silk. Her sharp, hysterical voice sent the servants into a frantic retreat; those who couldn't escape were kneeling, trembling as they begged for mercy.
- “Mistress, please… calm yourself,” Dara pleaded, her voice shaking. Lyra was still recovering from that night in the woods, her body aching from the encounter with the guards. Since then, she had locked herself away, refusing to see anyone. Her plans had failed so spectacularly that the fallout was poisonous. Instead of being claimed by the Alpha, Lyra’s body had been marked by the very filth she looked down upon…mere guards. She had ripped them apart afterward, but the stain remained.
