• The rain poured heavily amidst thunder and sharp lightning. Elara's drenched body rolled through a puddle of mud; she gasped, spitting out blood. Her hand moved to her belly as anger rushed through her. Nina kept advancing, a bloody knife gripped in her hands, her dark clothes clinging to her body.
• “You're just like her… both of you… what a joke!” Elara spat out disdainfully, feeling nauseous at the sight of the two people she had trusted her entire life betraying her. As if what Mia did wasn't enough, to know Nina was the mastermind of it all was unbearable.
• “You're nothing, Elara… you think just because you're pretty you can get whatever you want!” Nina yelled at the top of her voice. Elara managed to get to her feet, ignoring the sharp pain in her arm. Her eyes darted around, looking for the dagger Nina had knocked out of her hand, but it must have been buried in the mud by now.
