Chapter 119 Hes Ignoring Her
- Kai was in a terrible state; he looked almost dead. Despite everything, Elara couldn't stay still. She rushed to him, her heart thumping against her ribs. He was hanging high up, his weight supported only by the agonizing pull of the silver chains on his wrists. He was going to bleed to death if this continued much longer.
- “I'll get you out of here,” she muttered, her eyes frantically searching the dark cell for a mechanism. She needed to cut the chains, but she lacked the physical strength of a true wolf. Then, she spotted something to her right, hidden away in a dark corner. She ran toward it and saw the manual winch that controlled the links.
- “Get… get out of here,” Kai said breathlessly. His eyes were barely open, his head hanging loose to the side. Elara ignored him, throwing her weight into the lever. Her hands burned as the rough metal bit into her skin with each pull, but she didn't stop until Kai's body began to lower. When his feet finally touched the ground, she rushed to his side.
