• Alpha Fenris stripped off his coat and tossed it on the bed. Elara let out a sigh, not sure why he seemed so upset over nothing. She picked up his coat from the bed and rose to her feet. He was already naked and retrieving a towel from the closet.
• “He didn't hurt me…see, I'm fine and…” Elara started to explain, but the man turned around, and she swore he could beat someone up. His eyes were glowing a crimson red.
• “When were you planning to tell me?” He asked coldly; there was no warmth in his eyes. His expression remained emotionless. Elara then realized what the anger was all about. It wasn't because she went to Ellis Graves without his permission but something else. Elara quietly placed the cloth in the laundry basket. He walked to pick up his trousers and shirt he kept on the floor. “Or is this another game where you decide to run, huh?” He asked when she didn't say anything; clearly, he was not in his right mind. She hid her pregnancy from him to keep her baby safe; he was making assumptions.
